ART CHASER TERMS OF USE

1. About Art Chaser

Art Chaser is a cultural discovery and social application designed to help users discover and explore:

• museums;
• urban art;
• sculptures;
• monuments;
• cultural landmarks;
• other art and cultural locations.

Features may include profiles, follows, likes, saved places, lists, visits, contributions, photographs, reporting and other community functionality.

Features may change as Art Chaser develops.

2. Eligibility

Art Chaser is intended for people aged 16 or older.

Art Chaser does not currently claim to operate a formal identity or age-verification service.

If applicable law in your location requires a different minimum age or additional authorization, you are responsible for complying with those requirements.

We may restrict or terminate accounts where continued use would violate applicable law or create a significant safety concern.

3. Your account

You are responsible for:

• providing accurate account information;
• keeping login credentials confidential;
• protecting access to your device/account;
• activity performed through your account;
• notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not:

• impersonate another person;
• create deceptive accounts;
• use another person's account without permission;
• circumvent account restrictions;
• automate account creation or abuse authentication systems.

4. Profiles and social interactions

Art Chaser may allow users to follow other users and interact with profiles and content.

You must respect other users.

You may not use Art Chaser to:

• harass or threaten others;
• stalk users;
• intimidate users;
• facilitate grooming or exploitation;
• repeatedly contact someone who has made clear they do not want contact;
• expose private personal information;
• impersonate another person;
• organize abuse against another user.

Blocking and reporting functionality may be provided to support user safety.

5. Precise location and safety

Art Chaser may use your location to provide nearby discovery functionality.

Never rely on Art Chaser as:

• an emergency service;
• navigation suitable for life-critical use;
• proof that a location is safe or accessible;
• proof that another user is physically present at a particular location.

Do not publicly disclose precise personal location information if doing so could place you or another person at risk.

Art Chaser does not provide public live-location sharing.

6. User content

"User Content" includes information you submit, such as:

• profile information;
• photographs;
• cultural-place submissions;
• descriptions;
• suggested edits;
• list content;
• reports;
• other contributed material.

You retain ownership of rights you already hold in your User Content.

By submitting User Content to Art Chaser, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, resize, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate and provide Art Chaser.

For content submitted for publication as cultural-place information, this licence also permits us to continue displaying approved cultural information after account deletion where appropriate.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Art Chaser.

7. Rights to submitted content

You must have the necessary rights to submit content.

You may not upload:

• photographs you have no right to publish;
• copyrighted content where your use is unauthorized;
• private images obtained without permission;
• content unlawfully containing another person's personal data;
• malware or malicious files;
• deliberately deceptive or manipulated evidence.

Where Art Chaser requests source, creator or licence information, you must provide information you reasonably believe is accurate.

8. Cultural-place submissions

Users may suggest missing places or edits.

Submitting a place does not guarantee publication.

We may:

• review a submission;
• modify formatting;
• verify details;
• reject submissions;
• merge duplicates;
• correct geographic coordinates;
• request additional information;
• remove information that cannot be verified.

Published cultural information may remain after the submitting account is deleted because it forms part of Art Chaser's cultural database.

Where possible, personal attribution should be removed or anonymized after account deletion unless continued attribution is required by law or licence.

9. Content from external sources

Art Chaser may display cultural-place information or media derived from external sources such as:

• OpenStreetMap;
• Wikimedia Commons;
• Wikidata;
• other properly sourced public or licensed datasets.

Such content may be subject to separate licences and attribution requirements.

For example, some place information may be derived from OpenStreetMap and made available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

External-media rights remain subject to their applicable licences.

10. Prohibited content and conduct

You may not submit, publish or use Art Chaser for content or activity involving:

• illegal activity;
• credible threats or encouragement of violence;
• harassment or targeted abuse;
• sexual exploitation;
• exploitation of minors;
• grooming;
• doxxing;
• impersonation;
• scams or fraud;
• spam;
• malware;
• manipulated check-ins intended to deceive;
• knowingly fake cultural locations;
• systematic copyright infringement;
• content that violates another person's privacy or rights.

We may take action where necessary to protect users or the integrity of the service.

11. Moderation

Art Chaser may review reports and contributions using automated and/or human moderation processes.

We may:

• remove content;
• reject submissions;
• limit functionality;
• restrict visibility;
• suspend accounts;
• terminate accounts;
• preserve evidence where reasonably necessary;
• report unlawful activity where required by law.

Moderation decisions involve judgment and may not always be perfect.

Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular outcome.

12. Reporting abuse

You can use available reporting tools to notify us about:

• harassment;
• impersonation;
• unsafe behavior;
• inappropriate content;
• fake places;
• inaccurate information;
• copyright concerns;
• other violations.

Knowingly filing false or abusive reports may itself violate these Terms.

13. Blocking

You may block other users where the feature is available.

Blocking is intended to reduce interaction but cannot guarantee that another person will never encounter information that is publicly available elsewhere.

14. Intellectual property

Art Chaser software, branding, original designs, logos and original platform content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of Art Chaser intellectual property.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, distribute or commercially exploit protected Art Chaser material except where applicable law or an open-source licence permits it.

Third-party open-source components remain subject to their own licences.

15. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on Art Chaser infringes your copyright, contact:

Please provide sufficient information for us to identify:

• the copyrighted work;
• the allegedly infringing content;
• its location in Art Chaser;
• your contact information;
• the basis for your complaint.

We may remove or restrict disputed content while reviewing a complaint.

16. Accuracy of cultural information

We aim to provide useful cultural information, but we cannot guarantee that every:

• address;
• geographic coordinate;
• description;
• opening status;
• category;
• photograph;
• accessibility detail;
• cultural fact

is complete, current or error-free.

Cultural locations may move, close, be removed, become inaccessible or change over time.

Users should independently verify important information.

17. Physical safety

Visiting cultural locations may involve ordinary real-world risks such as:

• traffic;
• construction;
• private property;
• dangerous terrain;
• weather;
• restricted areas;
• inaccessible locations;
• unsafe neighborhoods;
• temporary closures.

Art Chaser does not instruct you to trespass or enter restricted areas.

Always follow local laws, signs, property restrictions and safety guidance.

18. Third-party services

Art Chaser may link to or rely on third-party services.

Those services are governed by their own terms.

We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

19. Service availability

We may modify, suspend or discontinue portions of Art Chaser.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Maintenance, outages, provider failures or circumstances outside our control may temporarily affect service.

20. Account suspension or termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary because of:

• serious or repeated Terms violations;
• abuse;
• threats to users;
• fraud;
• technical/security attacks;
• legal requirements;
• attempts to evade enforcement.

Where appropriate, we may provide an opportunity to appeal a moderation decision if an appeal mechanism is available.

21. Account deletion

You may request account deletion through available Art Chaser functionality.

Deletion does not necessarily require removal of every non-personal cultural record previously contributed.

Approved place information may remain after account deletion while account-linked identity information is removed or anonymized where appropriate.

Information may also be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or dispute resolution.

22. No professional advice

Art Chaser provides cultural discovery and community information.

It does not provide:

• legal advice;
• medical advice;
• emergency services;
• professional safety advice;
• authoritative navigation advice.

23. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Art Chaser is provided on an "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that all cultural information or user-submitted content is accurate, available or appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

24. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Art Chaser and its operator will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses resulting from use of the service.

This does not exclude liability where exclusion is prohibited by law, including applicable mandatory consumer-protection rights.

The final limitation-of-liability wording should be reviewed for the jurisdictions where Art Chaser launches.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves.

Where required, material changes will be communicated appropriately.

Continued use after an updated version becomes effective may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.

26. Governing law

Mandatory consumer and privacy protections applicable where you live may continue to apply regardless of this provision.
